Essential Duties:

     Provide counseling, education, and assessment to clients.

     Prescribe, dispense, and order medications while monitoring

     therapeutic or adverse effects of prescribed medication.

Education and Experience:

     Master’s degree in Nursing.

     Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse as well as a Nurse

     Practitioner.

     Certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

     At least 1 year experience in Psychiatry.

     Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

     Thorough knowledge of psychotropic medication, including target

     symptoms, adverse effects, and interaction with other medications.

     Thorough knowledge of general medical information including

     principles of consultation psychiatry.

     Thorough knowledge of DSM format and ability to diagnose clients with

     this system.

Special Requirements:

     Valid Virginia driver’s license with acceptable record.

     Attend training and maintain certifications as required.

Salary is $45.48 hourly; $88,686 annually.

Culpeper, VA.  Full-time Registered Nurse position providing nursing care, counseling, education, and consultation to clients in a mental health out-patient setting that is based on a treatment team model. . Need a thorough working knowledge of the principles, standards, practices and techniques of professional nursing. Must possess at least 3 years of relevant experience in nursing and /or working with special populations (seriously mentally ill). Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia is required.  Excellent hours to include weekends and holidays off and no on call. Salary is $39,214.50 – $51,987.00 annually, depending on qualifications.
